Newpalooza II - June 3rd and 4th  2005

Newpalooza ii ~ ~ ~ Day two, a Saturday in Black River Falls, Wisc began with an early rain shower followed by some clearing skys and sunshine along with two short spurts of rain that rolled in during the sets of two bands. A weekend of music with a party rock blend and a good size crowd mix along with most everything one would expect to find at an outdoor camping music event. Word is that this years event was a step up from the first Newpalooza with much more to look forward to for next years event - - Newpalooza III.
3 Pill Morning : They closed out the event with the dark of night and a thick crowd out for the final blast of music and all out party time. Jeff, Dan, Jay, Tony and Dave were up tight and primed to close out the event with an all out hard hitting performance.

Murge :
It was late afternoon as they took to the main stage. Mostly clear skys for a Murge attack that got things rolling as Brian, Robert, Justin, and Sean hit the crowd with material from their recent album 'Interfuse'.

No Charge :  With a lot of energy later in the afternoon, they stirred things up well on the smaller stage. All charged up with the crowd and no rain to disrupt their set.

Shift : They were up for the early crowd on the smaller stage for an ease in the day of rock on day two. They also played a second set in between main stage bands where a rain storm sent most everyone looking for cover.

Thought Cloud : Up on the main stage, they had a dry crowd for most of their set. Leah, Mike, Greg, Brett and Brandon took a hardy rock the crowd approach to rally on the event. They have two albums out , Hardrock Coffeehouse and the newer self-titled CD. Near the end of their set a downpour of rain drenched the crowd and Mike with his wireless bass made his way off stage to join the crowd for a sort of rain dance.

Swampp Gass : They were up late before the closing bands on the main stage. Darkness settled in as they rocked the night. Drew, Tad, Sticky and Al had a good time with this event and are working on a new album called 'Sideswipe'.

FlashRed : Anthony and Jai came together in San Diego, CA with an acoustic album. They moved up to Minnesota and brought in Dave and Dennis to form a full band. They were up early on the main stage with some sunshine and a good groove for day two. They are working on an album called 'Self Help Radio'.

Planet of 9 : From the wisconsin scene since 2003 were out with a full length CD called 'Alienation'. Just J, Cory, Matt, Brian and Chancellor brought out a hard rock mix on the main stage early in the afternoon of day two.
