After being together since Feb. 2003 GINGERJAKE has solidified themselves
as one of the Twin Cities Best Up and Coming Rock Bands. Front Girl Amanda
Harris has every thing it takes to take this band all the way to the top.
She is young, beautiful, and above all an amazing vocalist. In our interview
with Amanda we asked her who her influences were, she simply replied, "All
of Gods Creatures."
When asked "Who writes the music?" She said, "All
of us. It is a true democracy. It is so cool because each individual
brings something very unique to the equation. Our Guitar players Kris and
Ian work really well together. Kris's strength definitely lies in
the creation of riffs and grooves. Where as Ian brings us to a whole new
level with his technical playing, effects and samples. It has always been a
pleasure working with (Gemini Twin brothers) Joe and Eric Rotter. I
believe a good rhythm section is the back bone of all Rock."
When can
We expect to see an album? "We hope to have something done before the end of
the year."
Where Are You Recording? "We are in the middle of
deciding, but we have it narrowed down to a couple of places."
Who is
your favorite Local Band? "Oh, there are so many good bands right now I
don't think I can pick a favorite.
I really like what Staija is doing,
and B is the shooza."
