Review :   The opening track on this album would suggest that the whole cd is dark industrial with lots of squealing backed up by electro beats with a female vocalist that’s pissed of at self indulgent girls. I’m sorry to say that this is not exactly true for the following two songs following this one, but it is still worth listing to, it’s just the opening track is something more to drive to, then the rest are more to relax with. If you enjoyed Garbage’s work in the mid 90’s you should enjoy “Come Clean” for several reasons. For one the vocalist has a splendid precise voice that flows well with the music. She sounds sensual, sensitive, strong, intellectual and just out to express her self in this form.

Some other songs on this that I likes a lot are Dirty High, for the gritty backing vocals, and the collective noises in the background. Sweetback for the lyrics “ If I where to die this very moment, I’d be happy in love, let fate decided where our future is going…I’ll be dirty in love, I’ll be strong ... I’ll be sad enough…happy in love”  This is also followed up by some random industrial beats as well for more of a razing visual audio awareness. Come Clean the shortest track (title of album) is a fast song that they actually use vocal distortions for the whole song as she asks “when will you come clean…it’s so far I can’t go back”.

Type Of Music : rock, metal

Track Listing :

1.      rock radio edit

2.      LP version

3.      call-out hook

4.      audio bio

Review :   Ok this cd came out in 1999, and I highly doubt that you can find it anymore in the record store. None the less I have it…so I’m going to talk about it. I get a kick out of the singer because his voice really ranges well for the type of music that they where making. One second he sounds like Drownding Pool and the next he sounds like Billy from Smashing Pumpkins. Another reason I like this LP is because the last track has about a 45 second long bio on the band by this announcer that is trying to sound like he’s from the Twilight Zone. Yet his voice is extremely cut and dry as he over pronounces the words that spew out of his mouth. So if you ever find it in a clearance pile in one of your local record shop I suggest you pay the 50 cents just to hear the announcer. It’s worth it.
