 At the Cabooze
Down and Above - Seconds Before

A local band night at the Cabooze with a rock metal mix makes for an excellent chance to take in a show at this somewhat classic older music venue. On this evening 'Seconds Before' was releasing their latest CD "Further Distinations" and also for 'Down and Above' this is one of the last shows this year as they will be taking some time off to finish up their next CD due out in March.
The stage at the Cabooze sits near center of the elongated music venue with its silent invitation  and challenge to musicians to fill the room with their best efforts and draw a crowd into a good time show. This was an 18 + show which always helps draw the under 21 crowd into the mix of local music scene supporters.
A gathering crowd of ears were on hand as the band 'Seconds Before' took the stage. Excited about their new CD , they worked the crowd with Brian on vocals with a rather lively animated performance.  The set flowed well and from the new CD 'Further Destinations' the songs  "Heart of Concrete", "Good Cop Bad Cop" and "Therapy" should draw new fans and interest in their music. A rock sound with a pop and indie edge.
The evening closed with the threesome Dave, Ian and Zack that are 'Down and Above'. Even if you don't "remember that night" or are "lost inside your mind"- - with "Vena Cava" live and on CD there is a response to the "sound of an empty room". Surely the CD is doing well with a number of popular songs and the stage action of Dave and Ian always works well with the crowd. What will they come up with next? A new CD in the works and we will have to wait to see how that shapes their future stage performace and show impact.

One should also take a closer look at 'Align' and 'Trend 86'. From their CD 'Blue Book Value', "Kid Comeback" is a good example of the work of 'Align'. And 'Trend 86' has a new song out titled "She Got" and many know of their song "Dizzy". Both bands have websites and a MP3.com page. Keep an eye and ear up in support of the local music scene and enjoy the music.

Here Brian may be wondering which band
they came to see and Zack may think he knows.
Most likely they enjoyed all the bands.
