A Taste of First Ave

A good showing of local scene supporters dropped in to First Ave to
take in a sunday
show. Where a five band heavy-metal-hardcore mix gave the First
Ave arena a good time jolt for the new year. 'Bleeding the Sick' was
opening the all ages show,
they played First Ave about a year ago with Head Charge. Here they
would stir up the crowd to get the evening rolling. Andy of Minds Eye
Multimedia was all setup doing multi-camera video recording of the
show. 'Bleeding the Sick' will have DVD's available in the near
future. For 'Gingerjake', it would be their first time on the main
stage. With Amanda, the twins Joe and Eric along with Kris and Ian,
they well presented their growing set of material as they are gearing
up for a CD release. 'No One' and 'Dread Locked'
from Chicago put forth some solid hard edged metal for the Mpls crowd. Alot of action as
the evening closed out well rocked with a driving dose of 'Black Flood
Diesel' for a rush of energy that is expected at a First
Ave show.
