A Tuesday night can bring a mix of bands on the main
stage and in the Entry. On this evening there were the bands 'All The Pretty Horses',
'Sound and Fury', 'Nuisance Crew', 'Bleeding the Sick' and 'Minus
3' on the main stage. With four additional bands in the Entry. It can
sometimes be difficult for people to get out on a week night. Even
after a days work, many band fans and local scene supporters will find
their way out the door to catch an event such as this one. Those
that were able to arrive early got a chance to see the young and
talented 'Minus 3' in action providing the opening set. I recall that Mex
on bass said something about it taking a little time to get use to the
footing up there. With a main stage show there are a number of vantage
points to view the show and the crowd action upstairs and downstairs.
Downstairs there's stage front, stage right bar area, stage left bar
area with pool tables and merchandise sections and the back bar area.
And upstairs a number of great views to take in. The heavy hitting
'Bleeding the Sick' brought out their hard core swell
to rally on the early crowd. A swell with a riot of creative energy
arises with Jeff, Brent, Alfred and Mike. They would fit in well with
the bands 'Facecage', 'Black Flood Diesel' and 'Index Case' to name a
few. With the band 'Nuisance Crew'
one will find a different sound and stage approach somewhat in contrast
to the other bands playing this evening. They have a link at
their website to their new video 'Migrate' which they completed with
True Player Entertainment. Guys are likely to desire to meet the gals
in that video. With 'Sound and Fury' one may well note their growth and
developement with their combined efforts to flesh out their musical
vision. The song 'Where I Belong' struck home well with a number of
viewers and is a key song among their recent efforts. It was a night
for Ether of Autonomy up as guest bass player for 'All the Pretty
Horses'. Jacqueline provided a great photo of the action of
Jendeen at drums. Long night, good music.
