A Swing by the 4th Street Station
|
|
One can find a mix of bands at the 4th Street Station in downtown St. Paul.
In general ranging from a moderate to heavy rock form of music including
alternative, metal and the hardcore variety. They often have national
acts and the mix of local original music. Also known as the Lab.

It was a late visit with Cinder Sky and Filthy Divine hanging out and conversing
between sets. Filthy Divine put forth their solid set and most likely will
be adding material to their summer line up of shows. Identical is a rather
new metalcore band that played their first show on Jan. 30th 2003. They do
have an eleven song CD available and a website to visit. Identical closed
out the show with a solid heavy grinding set to rally crowd response. The
bands sound rather good at the Lab and there are good views of the stage
even with the poles that boldly stand near center of the room. Bound to be some
good shows this summer.

There's something appealing about the 'Identical'
show flyer. Perhaps its the text layout.
