Cold and Filthy at the 4th Street Station
|
|
A Saturday night at the 4th Street Station in downtown St. Paul. Saw
part of the opening set by 'Royal Xeno' where the singer gave forth a
high spirited energetic effort to start out the evening.
P.C.P. came from Wisconsin for this show. This may be their last Twin
Cities show as they plan on playing their final show at the House of
Rock in Eau Claire, Wisc. on Dec. 12th. They provided an industrial
rock set with a slower pace then some of the hard edged industrial
bands. Two good examples are their songs "Fight and Win" and
"Confessions". Nick brought out a hooded look for this 'Filthy
Divine' show. Viva ribbed Nel Harrison, who was in the crowd, with a
stalker comment which is a reference to the upcoming 'Tazer Girl' local
cable project. 'Filthy Divine' has been working in new songs at their
shows lately which includes "Comfortable" and this evening "High, Low".
More excellent material as they work towards putting out a full length
CD - - they do have a live CD available and should have t-shirts at
their upcoming shows. 'Cold Colours' closed out the night with their
metal show - - not exactly gothic or dark metal. On their t-shirts is
the slogan "Pure North American Wuss Metal". Come out to one of their
shows to get a taste of their music and rock out with the band. They
have a CD release show at the Urban on Dec. 6th - - a three song EP
called "depressing the masses".
