On the St Paul side of the Twin Cities is the venue known as Station 4.
Dropped by in time to catch the bands Level C and APOX. Level-C is a
all female metal band out on tour from Cleveland, Ohio. The foursome
formed their band in 2002 with a solid inclination for the heavy metal
scene. As they took to stage, one could sense quickly that they are
more than four great looking gals. Christine, Janean, Christina
and Misty hit the crowd hot and heavy for a non-stop hard hitting set
of metal with their own Level-C punch and crunch. Presenting their set
of material up front and into the crowd with hardy vocals and bass
along with slick guitar and percussion to well keep the crowd focused
on their performance. Looks like they've been on tour coast to coast
with their album 11:11 ( often sharing the stage with a number of big
names including Kittie, Otep and Crisis ) and have been getting radio
play in a number of cities. APOX ( Apocalypse Theatre ) closed out the
night with two new members joining the veterans V, Madkat and Hope.
Lindsay was up on guitar and Julie provided percussion at a double tom
tom set up. They opened their set with 'Burning Death Star' and kept
the APOX energy flowing with Hope joining in on a few songs. On this
evening they had five members on stage with V and Mad Kat handling most
of the vocals and regulars to APOX well know that they may have up to
ten members taking part in their pirate rock experience. They will be out on a tour around the upper midwest in April.
