A pre-mayhem show on a Friday night at the Red Sea. Five bands were brought together for this pre-show on this night before the Mpls. Mayhem Metal Fest which would occur at the Quest in downtown Mpls. The line-up included 'Inceinerate' , 'Rivkit' , 'Withering Soul' , 'Meathuk' and 'Nameless'. Stepped into the Red Sea as 'Rivkit' closed out their set. 'Withering Soul' from Chicago brought forth a haunting dark metal set for the crowd to absorb. Quick action guitar work blend with the mysterious and haunting atmospheric keyboards and vocals with a soft bold scream dream bent stormy night domain. Impressions with the strength of Mykil at vocals, the broad interlaced guitar and bass lines and the steamy hot keyboards that arise with Ines. Some viewers may have heard their older song 'Raging Storm' and the songs 'Frozen Oblivion' and 'Twisted in Irony' will be on their upcoming CD titled 'Apparitions of the Surreal'. After their set completion the band enjoyed hanging out at the Red Sea for some good time conversational mayhem. We all took in some of the closing bands music and they planned on going to the Mayhem Quest show the next day. Most likely they will be seen back in the Twin Cities.
