Five bands at the Red Sea 'Green Room'
|
|
A
five band night at the Red Sea brings forth a hardy flow of music
activity. On this Friday evening, patrons of the original music scene
got to take in a metal hardcore mix. With the dark edged set of 'S.F.
Incorporated' from Wisconsin, a healthy dose of 'Ripsnorter' along with
the stage action bands 'Identical' and 'R-evolution' which pair off
well together. Also tonight we would get a look at a new band
'Shovlhed' that includes members from the bands 'Sludge' and 'Identical'. What
is a 'Shovlhed'? Metal, energy, vocals. First impression is dominated
by Nats up front with mic which is a role rather different from his
bass player role with 'Identical'. Thrusting forward with the lyrics
and pulling back, working the stage and seeking a comfort zone and
approach as a singer. Their first show, good effort. No website or CD
means everyone has to go to their next show to find out more.
Will we get 'Shovlhed' again?
With five bands, anyone that swung by the Red Sea later in the
evening still
were able to see the Green Room action of 'R-evolution' and
'Identical'. Neither band will give forth a 'Village People' sing
along song which is a ok excellent by witness of the crowd on hand.
Everyone survived "The Last Holocaust" which is one of the songs on the
'R-evolution' sample CD. There was no sense of "Brainrape" and no one
left "Genderless" which are two songs on the 'Identical' CD. You can
watch the stage action or join in the crowd action. Some of the
gals were active in the crowd and on stage as the evening
closed.
