Dirty Sanchez - Drones - This Scenario
At the Red Sea

This be the Red Sea on a Friday night in the Green Room where three bands gathered to showcase their material. The bands 'This Scenario' followed by 'Drones' and 'Dirty Sanchez'. It just so happens that this evening would be the second or third show each of the bands have played. Did not know anything about 'This Scenario' until I saw Lisa at drums. Lisa was at one time with a band called 'Downcast' and now also does photography work for bands. The first impression is underscored well by the guitar work of Justin. Justin displays a high spirited  slight of hand enthusiasm that one may not expect for his age. While being drawn into the guitar work, one may miss out on the details of the other band members. Yet, one will take notice of a soundscape that often has a acid rock edge with some blues and rapcore moments. Along with Justin and Lisa are Simo on vocals and Jon on bass.
Drones, Drones, Drones. Three members make up this band along with keyboards and samples. Moisés on bass with Fernando on guitar and Christian bringing together the core action of the band with keyboards, samples and vocals. On this evening Christian also played guitar on the first few songs and the band as a whole appear to be bringing forth more depth and complexities to their music. Even without the advantage of live drums they create an appealing atmosphere and the gals were not taking notes on the venue decor. A progressive heavy sound with a particular Spanish-Latino sensitivity that is 'Drones'.
This is the first time seeing and hearing 'Dirty Sanchez' which has three members with Uriah on drums, Mitch on guitar and vocals along with Quincy on bass. Quincy also plays guitar with the band 'Eyenine'. Here we found five string bass action and a rockin groove to well close out the night. Perhaps there should be a drink special called the Dirty Sanchez that would go well with the driving sound they are bringing together as a band. Three good time bands for Twin Cities fans to catch in action.
