Downside of Truth - Thought Cloud
Less Than Nothing - Likwid Blu

At the Rock Night Club

Friday night at the Rock Nightclub with three bands that are progressing along hard and heavy for the fans. Here we had up and coming 'Likwid Blu'and 'Less Than Nothing' opening for the heavy female fronted 'Thought Cloud' and 'Downside of Truth'.
Likwid Blu brought out some new material for the show that included a heavy driving instrumental song. Vince, Justin and Jodi are working on a demo CD and have been looking for a full time bass player. Vince and Justin are working in some good performance moves and Jodi is rockin solid at drums. They brought some fans out and got the evening rolling and rocking along. Many scene fans may have got a look at the heavy sound of Less Than Nothing as they took to the Rock nightclub. The band Thought Cloud has been out touring the midwest with their new self titled CD. Here one will find a rather progressive heavy rockin set with the hard edged vocals of Leah, slick guitar work and a good time performance that goes off well with fans. Downside of Truth closed the night with their crowd rally heavy rockin metal set which moves relentlessly forward from song to song with a driving 'Determination'.

Chris Winter and Chris South
- Criminal Intent by Phelony -
It was july 30th, and as i walked into the rock, i kicked myself for being late and missing the first band, LIKWID BLU. so i had to ask the people that were there. first up i asked Ron Shreiner what he thought, he replied by saying "they ( Likwid Blu ) have potential." and liked them alot. Lennie Anderson ( from out from under ) also agreed they have potential. Likwid Blu is a newer band on the scene, and from hearing from Mike Johnson (from thoughtcloud) who stated F@#$!ing awesome! i got the feeling i'll get to see them again in the near future.
Next band that night was LESS THAN NOTHING! great energy from these guys, good indutrial sound to match the bands potential. I asked Rachel Erickson what she thought, she said "less than nothing was awesome". I chatted with Justin from the band (whoplays bass) what he thought about his and the bands performance, and he was pleased with the results. A good guy as well as his band--keep an eye ball out for these guys.
Third was thoughtcloud. GREAT MUSICIANS I was conducting some of my "mini" interviews with Jodi Detomaso(who plays drums in Likwid Blu) when towards a set of intense perfomance from lead singer and the guys when they performed one of my favs from jane's addiction,"mountain song"! with Vince vocals, they did perry and the boyz major justice! i'd say that it really could stand in place of the original.
And then, after a night of good sized-crowd and crowd-sized music, D.O.T. walked on stage to close out the night. This band is a must see for anybody who is a coniseiur of metal. with a old school, hard-driving edge, these guys put it in your face and leave scars. I chatted with the whole band backstage at the rock. check out what they had to say....
>  What do you know about the RW.org site?
The band all devil-horned and said "HELL YEAH!" and also thought RW played an intricate role in the local scene.
The band is:Chris Winter on guitars, Rob Jeske on bass, Chris South on vox, and Matt Jones on drums. winter has just joined up about 2 months ago and DOT said they are at full strength.
> Most influencial band? Pantera
> Top 5 local bands?  R-evolution, Identical, Banehinge, Entropy, and Life of Sin.
> Besidesmusic?  Matt, "drums"( I said besides, matt.) Chris South, video games, Rob, drink(as do i rob,as do i) Chris Winter, chase tail and also drink ( I side more with cw, come to think of it ).
>(speaking of drinks) fav drink?
Rob- mich brown bottle, Matt- coors light, South- jack&coke, Winter- BEER BEER BEER! ( I think the same way! uncanny )
>Worst show to date. JAN.23 2004
>What about the show tonight? Liked the show, and liked all the bands that played tonight.
So, this is my latest for you rockers and rollers!!! check out these guys and see what you think. a good ass-kicking is always good for the soul. and the loss of teeth means you get to eat jell-o and pudding. Till next time.
