Travisty and Filling Avoid at Shirley Kay's

  A night of original music takes the stage at the  music venue known as Shirley Kay's which is located in Lino Lakes on Lake Drive off of 35w just a little north of highway 694. They have a fair size down stairs bar music area which is rather new. A good size low stage with a solid sound system and lights to bring forth a good show. The sound and lights are handled by the Greg and Greg team who put forth a good effort to provide the bands another good place to perform.  With room to rock and enjoy the music.

Travisty took the stage first with the powerful vocals of Chris and the notable hardy bass of Joel. They made the trip over from Wisconsin with a nice group of supporters. It was nice to see them at Shirley Kay's which has a similar feel as the old Sharky's Underground. They put forth their well established set which included the songs 'Evil Andy' , 'Sweat Shop' and 'Red Budded American'. They are working on a new three song sample CD and will be appearing at Loopy's Midwest Music Fest in Chippewa Falls which is in Wisconsin (Aug. 22 and 23rd).

Filling Avoid dropped in on short notice and were given the task of closing out the night. The guys seem to enjoy playing this new venue and displayed their lively set with moments that catch the eye. With an earshot of talent and noteable musical skills they present a fine performance which is likely to grow and develop more so with their musical persuit. They have a seven song CD available which contain some rather good songs including 'Lucid Vision', 'Priceless Injections' and 'Useless'. There's some fine guitar work and vocals to enjoy. Have a good listen to their CD and catch them live at a future show in and around town.
