Alicia Corbett has been playing Spring Street at least two thursdays each month. She often plays solo at Spring Street and sometimes brings in additional musicians or has a guest musician step up and play a couple songs. Standing forth right front and center as a song writer, singer and acoustic guitarist with her solo performace and can sometimes be seen with a full band. With a somewhat psychologically busy style, she deliveries an accoustic set of original material along with selected cover renditions. Her songs tend to be a mix of sad and cheerful with an acoustic rock approach that has an inclination along the lines of a Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan. She has had two albums out under the band name 'Tea and Sympathy' in 1996 and 1998 along with a more recent album under the name of Alicia Corbett that came out around 2002. She is preparing to play the Woodtick festival in Michigan which is held on August 3rd - 6th of 2006 and is planning a trip to Ireland. Along with playing regularly at Spring Street, she can occasionally be seen playing a Grumpy's NE and the Turf Club.

Accelerated Love Affair is a band brought together by two young gals by the names of Karen and Ivy. They came together as a band in Nov. of 2004 as an acoustic duet. They perform all original material with a soft delivery of acoustic guitars and vocal harmony. Their songs are about love encounters, however brief and accelerated they may be. With soft fowing vocals and a relaxed flowing acoustic style, they deliver their songs with a little humor for a layed back easy on the ears performance. One may note that Karen plays left handed and Ivy plays right handed. Have a listen to their songs on their Myspace page. Being a young band forging ahead, they do not have an album out. Yet, they can be seen playing a mix of venues around the Twin Cities acoustic scene.
