A fine Friday night at Club Underground in NE Mpls where on the music
menu we found the bands Sick of Sarah, Runlikego and Organ Donors. The
band Organ Donors came together in 2005 with a Funky Jazz Rock style.
Band members Nick, Josh and Paul bring forth an instrumental mix of
songs where the keyboard action is of the piano breed with six string
bass and percussion. They have a CD out called ' Nervous by Nature'.
The band Runlikego has a three man melodic pop rock approach which came
across well. They have a 3 track EP out called 'Illustrations from
Mars'. The band Sick of Sarah came together during the spring of 2005
as Abisha and Katie with acoustic guitars brought in Jesse on bass and
Brooke with percussion. With their lively pop rock approach, one could
very well call them the Fab Four Gals. They began their set with one of
their crowd favorites 'Sparkle Leotard'. They brought out a more
playful version of 'Bump' which is one of the first songs they wrote.
They played two new songs for music fans to get out and have a listen
to called 'Streetlights' and 'Just Can't Sleep'. In 2006 Katie began
working in the electric guitar which is upfront with the swift flowing
song that they closed out the night - 'Mr Incredible'. With the vocals
of Abisha and the upbeat good time style of all the members, it's
likely that most anyone will enjoy taking in their live show as they
will be playing around the Twin Cities area.
