Nuisance Crew at Star Central
|
A double show took on a Sunday at Star Central with a All Ages
early show followed by a 18+ evening show. Looks like Joe Spanbauer of
Seven Wonders along with Star Central are attempting to build a Sunday
format with hopes to develope a strong following at the NE Mpls venue.
The early show had 4 bands and 3 in the evening.
With the evening show there was the solid work of the bands
'Redoverlunar' and 'Dayfeed' with 'Nuisance Crew' closing out this
Sunday evening with a good party time effort which made for an
excellent line-up.
Settled into the evening with focus on having a closer look at
the action that is 'Nuisance Crew'. A number of veiwers may have seen
them recently at The Main Event in Fridley, MN or one of their First
Avenue or Urban Wild Life shows. Many may have seen their recent music
video of the song 'Migrate' where some of the footage used was shot at
the Star Central back in Feb. of 2004. Their recent shows have opened
with the video on the big screen here at the Star Central and the Main
Event. A scripted video sequence with some live shots and a few gals
which bring some additional entertainment value to a song which has a
natural crowd appealing energy and flow. Their entire set flows with a
metal hip hop energy well paced with the central personality of Vince
up and into the crowd on vocals along with the action of Shaggs on
bass, Aaron on guitar, J.D. at drums and Saz adds samples and extras.
They have a CD out entitled 'Undisputed'. Scene fans will find a good
time party band with an appealing set of material as they do play out
in the Twin Cities, Iowa and Wisconsin and perhaps expanding outward.
