It
was a green day in the Twin Cities as in St Patricks day. There was no
urge to rush out to an Irish pub or bar. It look more so like a good
time to go see Autonomy, Ovrdose and Arsenal of Venice at Star Central.
Perhaps a bit less green and wild as may be the case at some of the
Irish pubs. Got there in time to see a few songs performed by Arsenal
of Venice which are a upcoming hardcore band which will likely be seen
out and about the Twin Cities.
It did indeed appear that Billy Graczyk of Autonomy is of the Irish heritage. A green day look for Billy while Ether held strong to his dark poet appearance and guest drummer Jendeen would fill the stage with percussion expertise. They brought out the precise raw energy that is Autonomy to well rock out the night. It may be difficult to find a three member band that can hit you with the song edge that one will find with the songs 'Ignite', 'Scars' and 'We have it all'. There's a firestorm of action on stage with Ovrdose as they provide alot of movement in their music and performance. With much to be seen and heard as the guitar work of Aaron, Dave and Alex hit the crowd along with the high energy vocals of Nick at mic stirring up the crowd. How metal are they? How alternative are they? How good are they? Well, scene fans will need to check out their music and see for themselves what they are all about. Some of their songs include 'Betrayed', 'Perfect Illusion' and 'Sweet Release'. They will be out and about the Twin Cities. EMC music company brought together the bands for this show and they also bring together the E Music Calendar website. Leah, the lead singer of Thought Cloud can often be seen out and about the local scene. She was out tonight in support of Autonomy and Ovrdose - see photos below. It was a rather good St Patrick day show unless one is very hardcore and in need of a night of green fog, green drinks, green women and green songs to rally a good time.
