This was a saturday night where there were a number of shows around the
Twin Cities scene. On these busy saturday nights some scene supporters
will try to get out to more than one show. Here at Star Central, this
was a good chance to see a new band come together to play their first
show. Arika on vocals for Maduro was known as the singer with the band
Universal Intelligence for some time until she decided to break away
and work on forming a new band. It has taken over a year to fine the
mix of band members and form a style of music to showcase her singing
talents. Maduro is Arika on vocals, Jan T on guitar, Zach on bass and
Wyatt with drums. Before the show, Arika was talkative with a nervous
excitement. They have a hard rock sound and a stage performance
that
comes together well with a supportive buzz among the crowd that came
out for their first show. A great first show effort with the attractive
vocals of Arika and a hard rockin sound that will likely catch on as
more people get to see them and get to know their songs. One can
