The bands 13th Step and Cirty Sanchez played on this saturday night
during the last month of shows at Star Central. The corner Star Bar
section will remain open while the large music room that has hosted a
number of original bands will be closed with the end of August. Dirty
Sanchez is a four member band that delivers a hard rock jam style of
music for the crowd. Mitch, Uriah and Quincy have recently added a
second guitarist that goes by the name of M-Bag. With the addition of
M-Bag there is more depth and interactive flow between guitars and the
five string bass action of Quincy along with the vocals as they jam
solid with their set of material. The band 13th Step has
a hardcore rock metal sound and performance that's heavy with energy
and crowd bouncing support. Mattytime, Chon, Chuey and Shwa
like the word Freaks and invite every one to come to their shows with a
good time freak approach to their music. They are a good time friendly
band that often greet people with a big hug. With a recent CD 'South
13th Street' and a DVD 'Freakology Vol. 1', they can be found playing
the twin cities area and touring the upper midwest. A big hardy music
scene thanks should go out to all that made Star Central a great venue
for original music which would include the many bands and supporters of
the Twin Cities scene.
