There were a number of shows around town on this Saturday night.
Decided to drop by the Terminal Bar in Mpls to see Great Girls Blouse
with their new CD out called '147471'. The Blouse is Amy Chorney
on guitar and vocals, Jason Chorney on bass and Brian Remme at drums.
It was a cold windy night outside and rather warm inside with the bands
In Pictures and Shamus 73 playing with The Blouse. A good portion of
the comic mind of Nel Harrison was on hand as he took to stage to
deliver his clever sharp edged humor for the crowd as The Blouse
prepared to rock the crowd. Hot comes in different flavors with the guitar work of Amy on
her Ibenez and Jason kicking out the bass lines on his
Steinberger. Looks like they played all six songs from
the new CD along with a number of earlier songs. They bring forth a
funky grunge crunch to rock the house for a good time with lyrics and
punch for areas above the shoulders. Sounds like the song 'Monster'
will be among the favorites from the new CD. Perhaps the CD title
'147471' is food for thought or as Amy said, 'Buy the CD and feed the
Blouse'. Scene fans will certainly get a chance to see them at a venue
around the Twin Cities and perhaps on the road later in the year.
