Ouija Radio at the Turf Club
|
|
Was able to swing by the Turf Club on this Friday night to catch some
'Ouija Radio' as they kick off a tour. Walked into the Turf in time to
see part of the set put together by 'The Skinnies' which were
rockin rather well. With the Turf Club show 'Ouija Radio' begins a
twelve stop tour in the midwest and out to the east coast which would
include C.B.G.B.'s in New York along with working their way back to the
Twin Cities for a show at The 400 Bar on Oct. 22nd. Out on the road
with their new album 'Last Night on Earth'. With this show Christy was
certainly up front bright in pink and Matt Belz on bass was perhaps a
bit jumpy as pre-tour jitters may have kicked things off a little on
the rough side. With some sound and technical difficulties they were
able to bring forth a fair sense of the music collection that is their
new album. As they hit the road, things are likely to come together
rather well with some good times and new fans along the way.

After
the show Christy and Charles gave a comment as they prepare for the
tour. Christy said " Going on tour, I hope we can keep Matt relatively
sober. We're playing C.B.G.B.'s and can't wait to hang in New York
City.' and Charles said " Don't get wasted before you play! Its
important. Do sit ups and more so than anything else . . . read
philosphy. Get in tune with yourself and others. "
