Bleeding Hickeys
at The Uptown Bar

On a Friday night, photographer Jacqueline Peterson was out to take in
the music of the 'The Bleeding Hickeys'. They have been playing the Twin Cities since Sept. 2002. Band
members Jenn Gori, Christina Schmitt, Sarah Black and Nick Shuminsky
have brought together a good time punk sound. Some descriptions of
their music have phrased the band as "An early punk band from the 70s -
like hardcore never happened" and "Out of the garage onto the dance floor punk rock."
With live shows and a self-titled EP out, music fans have been able to enjoy their
music with the songs "Friction Boy" and "Die Poet Die" as solid
examples of their work. Watch for them as they play the Twin Cities and
look forward to a full length album they are working on for a 2004
release.
