This was a wednesday night at the Uptown Bar and Cafe in south Mpls.
The Uptown Bar has a smaller venue stage with a nice bar setup, food menu and
outdoor patio area which works well and even more so as there was no
cover for this wednesday night show. This was somewhat of a Halloween
show for ArcAngel as lead singer Angel was dressed as a nurse and Luna
was a demon skull faced character with wings for the dark side. Joining
Angel, Luna and Warhead was their new bass player Zephyra. Their
industrial gothic metal went over well as Angel worked the small stage
and new comers to the band would take notice of their signature song
'Dreams and Desires'. They have a four song demo available, a myspace
page and a website at www.arcangelband.com. The band 80-D is a hard
edged metal band where the vocals and guitar work stand out up front
and center on the Uptown stage. Some twin cities music fans will
remember Uzi and Johnny from their previous band APOD which discontinued playing
about a year or so ago. A side project for Uzi during his APOD
days, 80-D began playing out in 2005.
