Filthy Divine and Rhimshodt
at the Urban Wild Life Club

Downtown Mpls.at the Urban on a saturday night. The evening moved with the pulse of the city. Various activities going on in and around the Twin Cities including the band ' B ! ' opening for 'King X' and 'Fishbone' at the Fineline Cafe.  Here at the Urban a rather new band called 'Royal Xeno' would open for the striking pair that are 'Filthy Divine' and 'Rhimshodt'.
A college crowd and sound is the first impression with the first glimpse of the work of  'Royal Xeno' . There may have been some sound equipment problems at times during the evening.  'Rimshodt' opening song came across rather weak sound wise for the guitar and a bit heavy for the drums which all seemed to settle in as the set went on. The  set  gave the mixed crowd a good look at the vocals and guitar work that underscore the 'Rhimshodt' sound . It looked like they had a good time at the Urban and they do have a four song CD available. 'Filthy Divine' closed out the night opening with the song "The Maze" which makes for a strong opening. Some of those that must not of seen 'Filthy Divine' before appeared somewhat eye-struck and fixxed on the stage image and energy of the show as Viva Nick, Nate and Scotty spiced up the party evening. They are adding new songs to their set and closed the night with the song "America" which is available on their CD.
Some passing comments were heard ". . . I like the work and sound that Rhimshodt is all about . . . " and  another one " . . .Filthy Divine is clean, tight energy with spunk attack. . .".
And there's this on scene quote:
"I love Viva's approach, she has punk rock sensibility, but uses more power and tone than her predacesors."

A somewhat mixxed off beat party evening with three bands that will certainly be seen playing out and about the Twin Cities.
