R-evolution and Downside of Truth at the Urban Wild Life Club
|
|
Is there rock on a sunday night? There most certainly was on this
sunday night at the Urban in downtown Mpls. Those that were able to
drop in got to catch some of the music of 'R-evolution', 'Dead
Influence' and new to the Twin Cities original music scene 'Downside of Truth'.
'Downside
of Truth' are working on a full length CD with Osiris Records to be
titled "Lessons That Bleed". Chris, Chad, Bob and Matt came together
from different bands to form this original heavy metal band. They
played two shows in Wisc. before playing the Twin Cities.
Chris South writes most of the lyrics and most recently was with the
band 'Rags'. They put forth a well polished aggressive stage show with
a heavy and progressive rock sound that is out right appealing. Three
good examples of their songs are "Burn With Me'', "Save Yourself" and
"Judgement Day". Have a look, have a listen as they play out with the
bands in the Twin Cities area.
'R-evolution' were giving away a three song demo CD at this show
and are currently selling their t-shirts for five dollars. A good move
to get their name and music out to the club scene patrons of original
rock music. Hard edged crush the silence movement of true metal to
shake up the night and the crowd. Ben, Carl, Ryan, Frank and Chris have
been working hard at bringing together their sound. They recently
closed out a good time Halloween show. Check out their music which
includes the song "The Dark Became the Day". Didn't catch the 'Dead
Influence' set but all in all it was a good fixation of rock on a
sunday.
