Filthy Divine At the Urban Wild Life Club
|
After a jog around town which included the Quest and the Red Sea, ended
up swinging by the Urban in time to catch some of the Filthy
Divine action. Heard that a band by the name of 'Toast' opened and are
a rather young rock band playing about town. Looks like Viva's sister
was handling the merchandise for Filthy Divine which hit the stage all
dressed in black for the most part. Sounds like this would be one of
Nates last show playing bass with Filthy Divine. With black shades for
Nate, red t-shirt for Scotty at drums, a red guitar handled by Nick and
red hair at stage center with Viva - Filthy Divine hit the stage
to close out the night. They have developed a well rounded set of
rather driving pop rock with a twist of darkness; with elements of funk,
punk and metal to stir up interest with a broader crowd mix than a
strictly conventional rock formula. After beginning the New Year at the
Fineline Cafe in Mpls, they will be playing there again for their
upcoming CD release show in August. Sounds like the album title will be
'This is Filthy Divine'. Looks like a good show for fans and those new
to the band to catch the Filthy Divine expierence.
