The Urban Wildlife Club in downtown Mpls. on a Thursday night. It seemed to be a somewhat slow evening downtown, yet at the Urban the band by the name of ' Dirge ' came into town from Wisconsin to break into the Twin Cities scene. They have been together as a band for about a year and have played a number of shows around the Wisconsin area. A three member band with Kevin Clark on guitar and vocals, Eric Olsen on bass and Mitch Larson on Drums. With 'Dirge' one will find heavy metal with an old school progressive mix of original metal material. Hard hitting driving bass and guitar work with crisp drums and a hardy metal vocal edge. They have a well recorded demo out and a number of songs up at their website. With song titles 'Brutal Truth' , 'Death Machine' and 'Blood-stained Life' among their list of material. They dug in well at the Urban and will likely be back to the Twin Cities in the upcoming months.
