PK - Where were you all born and raised ?
Jodi  ~ Vince, Justin and Myself were all born and raised in St Francis, MN.
Erik  ~ And I was born and raised in New Brighton, MN.

PK - When and how did the band come together ?
Jodi ~ Vince and Justin started for fun to meet chicks and things, then they found me for drums. We all clicked and went from there. We just found our new bass player a couple months ago. Vince and Justin worked with Erik, that's how we found him.

PK - Do you have a favoride  Likwid Blü   song ?
Jodi ~ Blame
Vince ~ From the Inside
Erik ~ Epsilon
Justin ~ Heller  (the new song)

PK - Vince, do you or have you played a musical instrument ?
Vince ~ Trombone and Recorder in Elementary school. Also guitar.

PK - When did Jodi take up drums (percussion) and have you played any
 other musical instruments ?
Jodi ~ I took up drums when I was seventeen and have played the flute for a year,
the trumpet for a year and the piano for five years.

PK - Justin, have you ever played the violin, harp or other string instrument ?
Justin ~ No, but I would love to learn how to play the banjo. That would rock.

PK - What would Jodi like to say about her drum kit ?
Jodi ~ I love it. I want to make it bigger at some point. There's not much to say,
just that I hope it sounds good.

PK - How did you find the bass as your choice of instrument ?
Erik ~ When I joined the orchestra, I wanted to play the bass, but was too short.
So I played the cello. Thus, I went and bought an electric bass, cause short people
can play those.

PK - What direction or goals do you sense the band is heading towards ?
All ~ We basicly do this for fun, because we love doing what we are doing.
We of course hope it goes somewhere by getting paid and big things like that.

PK - What are some of your favoride local minnesota bands?
Jodi ~ I'm a fan of Gordy Kuntson from the Steve Miller band who teaches
 at Music Tech college.
All ~ Downside of Truth, Sound and Fury, Two Ton Crunch, Allies in Chaos,
  Last Ditch Effort . . .

PK - What are some of your musical influences - bands and musicians pass and present ?
All ~ Pantera, Kill Switch Engage, Pink Floyd, In Flames, Bob Marley . . .

PK - Who are some of the drummers that Jodi likes, admire or find interesting ?
Jodi ~ Gordy Knutson from the Steve Miller band and Vinnie Paul of
  Pantera-Damage Plan.

PK - Justin, who are some of your favorite guitar players ?
Justin ~ Dime Bag Durrel (Pantera) Mark Tramontie (Creed) Durin Mulkanin
(System of a Down) Chris Winter (Downside of Truth) Jimmy Page (Led Zep)
Eric Claptin and the list could go on. But, this my top list.

PK - Jodi, how many drum sticks do you bring to a show ?
Jodi ~ Well, at least three pairs of the size I use and theres
always more different sizes in the stick bag.

PK - What form of musical training have you had and/or are pursuing ?
Jodi ~ Had lessons for a year and then went to Music Tech college and graduated with
my professional musicins course diploma in percussion.
Erik ~ I had six years orchestra and one year self taught bass.
Justin ~ Took lessons on guitar for a year and went to Music Tech for production.
Vince ~ I was in choir from sixth grade through my senior year in college.

PK - Are you always working on new lyrics, new material and band ideas ?
Vince ~ Always, I have notebooks of lyrics. I carry a small book with me in case I come up with a lyric to write down. As for band ideas, I do our website, flyers and so forth.

PK - I hear Jodi was a soccer gal before you took up drums.
How was that experience and how does it compare to being in a band ?
Jodi ~ Well, I will always love soccer and I still would play it if I could. But its totally different than a band of course. A band is obviously more of a bar thing and I don't run as much. But, ya know when I get that double kick going its like running all in its self.

PK - Erik, is playing with 'Likwid Blu' your first band expierence ?
Erik ~ Yes, and it's nothing short of incredible and the Red Sea show was my
  second show ever.

PK -  Erik, being new with the band, how are things going so far ?
Erik ~ I think they're going great. We mix really well. I think my influences and style
will really help to make the band grow.

PK - Do you think Jodi will ever need a monster large drum kit ?
Jodi ~ I don't think I need it, because I believe that a good drummer can make a three piece set sound much like a ten piece set. I will get more toms and cymbals to add different sounds and effects. But, I don't really need a large kit.

PK - How did you come up with the name  Likwid Blü ' and the title of your four
   song EP 'Paradigm Shift' ?
Vince ~  Likwid Blü   sorta came out of nowhere. Blue is my favorite color, so we were thinking of a way to incorperate it into the name. Then, I saw a glass of water and thought - liquid. But, wanted to spell it messed up to be original. Which brought forth '  Likwid Blü  '. Paradigm Shift came about when I was sitting in a economics class and heard the words. Wanted to use it as a name for a song. But, it fit our goals for the CD better -
a Shift in Norms.

PK - Can you think of any words you would never use in a song ?
Vince ~ "Donkey Raping Shit Eater". I'll use what I need to get my point
  and feelings across.

PK - What kind of guitar or guitars do you have and is there one on your wish list ?
Justin ~ I play all Schecters. Best damn guitar Ive played. If their was a guitar I would like to have it would be a Schecter Scorpian Extended Scale. That would be sweet as hell.

PK - Would Jodi like to write the lyrics to a song at some point ?
Jodi ~ I've thought about it, but honestly I'm not the best at it. Something to think about.

PK - What would you like the crowd to be doing as you play your live show ?
All ~ Jumping around, cheering, making noise up close and personal.

PK - Does anyone in the band like math questions ?
All ~ Music is Math !

PK - Off the wall question - have you ever milked a cow ?
Erik ~ I milked a dairy goat.

Likwid Blü is based in Minnesota
