Interview with SINIKIL - Nov 28, 2005 at the Red Sea in Mpls, MN
> PK : What's the bands name and where are you from?
> Sinikil : We're called 'SINIKIL'. We have Mike D. on vocals. Bryan on guitar. Jen on bass and keyboards. Jeff on drums. We came together and now we are all located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
> PK : How long has the band been together?
> Sinikil : Four and a half years. We've been playing alot of clubs. The scene has been changing around the Lincoln, Nebradka area with a lot of clubs closing down. Others are coming up. There's no really hot spot so to speak. We do a number of all ages shows and there are a number of mid sized clubs.
> PK : How would you describe your type of music?
> Sinikil : Metal ! Just metal. There's a little bit of genre jumping. Let's just call it metal.
> PK : Do you have a CD out?
> Sinikil : Yes, we have a full length CD out called 'Accurate Representation'. It was put out about two years ago. As soon as we are done with this tour we will be back recording our next album.
> PK : Did you go through a period with a number of members?
> Sinikil : Us three, Mike and Bryan and Jenny were together from the beginning. We had six members in the beginning and dropped some to become a four member band. We had some drummer changes and we have Jeff now who has been with the band for a few months. He's very new with the band. We got him right before this tour started.
> PK : How often have you been touring out of Nebraska?
> Sinikil : Out of Nebraska, this is our first major tour. We've been out for a month as of tomorrow. There was alot of mid west in this one with some east and north and we will end up down south. Then back home to record.
> PK : Have you played with many bands that you may consider major bands?
> Sinikil : We've played with 'Dry Kill Logic', 'As I Lay Dieing' and 'Hemlock' to name a few.
> PK : Were you surprised that there was not two feet of show up here?
> Sinikil : We were expecting to drive into a heavy winter scene. Hope it stays clear for our drive out of here.
> PK : What do you think of this venue 'The Red Sea' here in Mpls, Minnesota?
> Sinikil : A nice clean place. Our friend Cole Young helped us out getting in here as part of our tour through this area. We're thankful to have a show to play here. We rather be playing then be sitting in a van in between shows.
> PK : Any last thing to say before you all get ready to play?
> Sinikil : People can check us out at www.sinikil.com and on myspace. Watch for our upcoming album which we will be playing mostly songs from that album tonight. This is our fourth time out here and we always have a good time.
