The
band 'Solace in Ashes' began coming together as a band in the Twin
Cities around June 2005. The band members are Nick on guitar, Kevin on
bass, Pat on drums and Jared with vocals. Kevin was a member of the
band '13 Dead' and Jared was lead singer with the band '7 Months of
Nothing' before they came together with this band project. Working hard
to form their brand of metal.

> PK :
So, how would you all describe your type of metal?
> Nick : A tasteful hard edged style with a real metal approach that brings together a mix of old and new with elements of black metal and grind core.
> Kevin : Yes, with solid heavy bass lines and Nicks guitar riffs. All rounded out well with Pat's drum action and the aggressive vocals of Jared.
> Pat : Okay, I agree. Also notice that part of my eight piece Pearl kit includes three hi hats as well as the double bass and two floor toms.
> Jared : Tasteful for the gals and hardcore for the guys. Well, we should say that we do nick name the band "The bastard child of all things metal".
> PK : Will there be some sort of CD available in the near future?
> Jared : We are looking to record a five song EP with the help of Albert Born of Banehinge. This should be a kick ass recording.
> PK : What are some of the Twin Cities bands that you like to see?
> All : Sometimes, Staija, L.T.D., Rivkit, Epicurean, Dead Hands Rising, American Head Charge, Si6ks, Banehinge and so forth. Also bands like Johnny Rook and B!. There's a number of good bands out there.
> PK : When will your band be out playing the Twin Cities?
> Jared : The end of October. Thats Oct 28th at Star Central.

A
good size practice space in St Paul, MN with the expected loud session
as they played non stop. Delivering a hard edged grind of metal riffs
and heavy bass with a vocal approach which may all sit well
with a wider range of metal fans. Metal fans in the Twin Cities area will find them out playing soon.
